Description: Paneer tikka is marinated paneer/cottage cheese cubes, arranged on skewers and grilled or baked in the oven. specifically the recipe is called as tandoori paneer tikka, as the paneer is cooked in the tandoor which lends a subtle smoky charcoal flavor to the paneer. paneer tikka is usually served as a starter and panner tikka masala is a gravy. Here i have made a slight variation to make it as a complete meal. We will be preparing 3 dishes to make a full course platter.Grilled panner, Capsicum masala curry and White rice.
Ingredients
For Grilled Panner:
Panner - Cut 250gm panner into 2 slices by slitting panner in the centre.
To Be Mixed Into a Marinade
Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Hung Curd - 1/2 cup
Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
Besan - 2tsp
Black Salt - 1/2 tsp
Salt as needed
For Capsicum Masala Curry:
Onion - 2 , chopped thin and long
Tomatoes -2 ,chopped thin and long
Capsicum - 1 , chopped thin and long
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Oil as needed Salt as needed

Cook 2 cups of basmati rice.

Method
For Grilled Paneer
For Capsicum Masala Curry
1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan, add chopped onions and capsicum and fry till onions loose their raw smell.
2. Now add tomatoes and cook till they turn soft.
3. Add Red chilli powder, garam masala , sal t and fry till curry starts leaving oil.
For serving:
1. Take a serving plate and flatten cooked rice completely on the plate.
2. Add the capsicum curry in the middle.
3. Now place grilled paneer correctly in the centre. Garnish with some pudina leaves and serve hot.
For Grilled Paneer
- Take hung curd in a big bowl, add all remaining marinade ingredients and mix well.Coat this marinade to panner slices and refrigerate for minimum of half an hour or more.
- Heat a non- stick pan/ grill pan and cook the paneer on a medium flame using oil till paneer is light brown in color from all sides, or grill it in oven.

Tips
1. If you are grilling paneer on grill pan then make sure you do not overheat paneer, which may result in hard grilled paneer.
2. You can use any vegetables for capsicum curry, some more options would be sweet corn or spinach.
