Surprised i know, but am sure once u taste this recipe even you will start loving it. It tastes good with rice, chapathi, dosa and also akki rotti. This dish is a very tasty option for weight watchers as well cz cabbage helps to reduce weight. 15 -20 mins.
Ingredients
Cabbage shredded or chopped -2 cup
Tomato - 1/2 cup chopped
Green chilli - 2
Curry leaves - few
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida (hing) - a pinch
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Jeera - 1/4 tsp
Oil as needed
Salt as needed

Method
- Heat oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add jeera, green chillies, curry leaves and hing.
- Once green chillies are fried well add turmeric and coriander powder.
- Now add chopped cabbage and cover the pan with a lid. Cook till cabbage is half cooked.
- Now add chopped tomatoes and salt and mix well. Cook with covered lid till tomatoes turn soft .
- Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. Grind it to a coarse paste. Cabbage chutney is ready.
